You know how this starts, that odd feeling, your heart starts to race, your body starts to sweat.  If you are experiencing a raise in heart beat every time there is pressure at work, or something very important which you have to face or do, and short breaths suddenly make it hard for you to concentrate, then these are severe panic attack symptoms. Experiencing these kinds of anxiety or panic attack syndromes may come from mild to severe cases. As for severe panic attack syndromes, these become more recurring, and palpitation may be worse.  Difficulty in breathing may become worse, and when these attacks are not given proper medical and psychological attention, they may result to worse and more terrifying experiences.

I certainly agree that knowing what is “wrong” is very important – especially when we are talking about severe panic attack symptoms that are overwhelming and frightening. Over the years, I have diagnosed and treated hundreds of people with severe panic attack symptoms, anxiety, and stress disorders. One common response from clients is a sense of relief once they know what is really happening to them. Once they can put a name on it, there is hope that they can be helped. Now that YOU know, I hope you too can feel a small sense of relief and hope. However, I realize that knowing what to call what is happening to you may not feel like “half the battle”; that is understandable. You need this to stop, and you need it now!I can relate to the overwhelming need to stop the panic. You see, I’ve experienced anxiety, stress, and panic all my life.

There is a way to change things back to normal. The biggest mistake you can make when you are having severe anxiety attack symptoms is to panic! During a panic attack, your body releases an overload of adrenaline into your system. The more you fight your severe symptoms, or “panic about the panic”, the more adrenaline you release. That increases the severity and duration of your symptoms. There are many ways to manage your symptoms without throwing out more adrenaline:
• Take a breath and remind yourself not to “panic about the panic”!
•  Practice this every time you feel an attack coming on
• You will reduce the length and severity of the attack.

Though in mild cases, anxiety attacks are not dangerous. They are a simply psychological condition which can be overcome by simply drinking a glass of water, or a matter of facing a fear or pressure. But when they become chronic, it is just advisable to know severe panic attack syndromes so as to get the right medication and treatment.

Over the years I tried just about anything to make my severe panic attack symptoms stop. I remember feeling helpless and hopeless over the anxiety and panic. I remember feeling like something was terribly wrong with me; feeling like I was defective or losing my mind. You see, even with my training as a Professional Counselor and helping so many others manage their symptoms, I still struggled with my own symptoms. The good news for me (and now you), is that in my studies and my work with others, I have developed some strategies that really help manage and reduce anxiety, panic and stress naturally.

You should be looking out for how often you have these attacks. Again, just one attack puts major stress on your body. So if you are having two or more attacks a week based on these severe panic attack symptoms, then you should either talk to a doctor, or explore the many self-help treatments that are available today. Not only are panic attacks putting tremendous stress on your body, and your health, but you also may have an anxiety panic disorder.

What is worse, even when the attack has passed, you spend the rest of the day just getting over the attack that you have just had.  It is hard to describe the feeling of the walls closing in around you. Sometimes it feels like there is nothing lonelier or scarier than a life of panic and anxiety. Your life should not have to be this way.
